Treatment of adult patients with HER2 (ErbB2) overexpressing breast cancer:

as part of combination therapy with capecitabine for patients with advanced or metastatic cancer that progresses on previous therapy with trastuzumab in combination with anthracyclines and taxanes due to metastatic disease;

as part of combination therapy with trastuzumab in patients with metastatic, hormone-negative cancer, progressing after trastuzumab-containing chemotherapy;

in combination therapy with an aromatase inhibitor for postmenopausal women with metastatic, hormone-positive cancer who are not scheduled for chemotherapy. Patients in the registration study were not previously treated with trastuzumab or aromatase inhibitors. There are no data on the effectiveness of this combination compared with trastuzumab in combination with an aromatase inhibitor in this group of patients.

Dosage and administration

The course of treatment is prescribed only by a doctor who has experience in the use of anticancer drugs.

Before starting treatment, it is necessary to determine the level of the left ventricular ejection fraction in order to make sure that its initial level is within the established norms (see section "Peculiarities of use"). Control over the level of the left ventricular ejection fraction should continue during treatment with Tyverb so that its decrease does not reach below acceptable limits (see "Discontinuation or dose reduction", "On the part of the cardiovascular system").

Tyverb should be taken 1:00 before or 1:00 after a meal (see Section "Pharmacokinetics"). The recommended daily dose of Tyverb should not be divided. To reduce individual patient variability, Tyverb use should be standardized with respect to food intake, for example, always take the drug one hour before meals.

Missed doses of the drug should not be taken additionally, the next dose of the drug should be continued according to the schedule of use (see section "Overdose").

When combined with other drugs, you should read the instructions for use of these drugs.

Tyverb in combination with capecitabine.

The recommended dose of Tyverb is 1250 mg (5 tablets) once daily.

The recommended dose of capecitabine is 2000 mg/m2/day in 2 divided doses (every 12:00) every day from day 1 to day 14 of a 21-day treatment cycle. It is recommended that capecitabine be taken with or within 30 minutes of a meal.

Tyverb in combination with trastuzumab

The recommended dose of Tyverb is 1000 mg (4 tablets) once daily.

The recommended dose of trastuzumab is 4 mg/kg body weight as a loading dose followed by 2 mg/kg body weight once a week.

Tyverb in combination with an aromatase inhibitor.

The recommended dose of Tyverb is 1500 mg (6 tablets) once daily.

The recommended dose of the aromatase inhibitor letrozole is 2.5 mg once daily. When using Tyverb with an alternative aromatase inhibitor, you should read the instructions for use of this drug.
