Analogues: Vfend, voritab, variconazole, varitab, voriconazole,

Indications:

Prevention of invasive fungal infections during allogeneic bone marrow transplantation in patients with a high risk of such a complication.

Voriconazole should be used in adults and children to treat:
  • invasive aspergillosis;
  • Candidemia, not accompanied by neutropenia;
  • Severe invasive infections caused by Candida (including C. krusei) resistant to fluconazole;
  • Severe fungal infections caused by Scedosporium and Fusarium species.

For patients with progressive and life-threatening infections, Vfend should be used as initial therapy.
